of <h1>Customs Act 1962 Update: Partial Duty Exemptions for Fabricated Mica; Full Exemption for Dielectric Mica Strips.</h1> The Central Government, under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, has amended a previous notification to provide partial exemptions on customs duties for certain mica products. Specifically, fabricated mica, excluding dielectric mica strips, will now be subject to a 10% ad valorem duty. Additionally, dielectric mica strips are granted a full exemption from customs duty. These changes are made in the public interest and amend the earlier notification from August 2, 1976.
