of <h1>India Reduces Customs Duty on Dead Burnt Magnesite with Specific Composition Until June 1987 under Notification 474/86-Cus</h1> The Central Government of India, under the Customs Act, 1962, has issued Notification No. 474/86-Cus dated November 28, 1986, which exempts dead burnt magnesite from a portion of customs duty. This exemption applies to magnesite with silica content under 4% by weight, magnesium oxide not less than 90% by weight, and bulk density of at least 3.20 gm/c.c., as specified under Chapter 25 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975. The duty is reduced to 55% ad valorem. This notification supersedes the previous notification No. 241/85-Customs and remains effective until June 30, 1987.
