of <h1>Customs Act Amendment Extends Steel Tariff Deadline from December 1986 to June 1987 for Chapters 72, 73.</h1> The Central Government, under the powers granted by the Customs Act, 1962, has amended a previous notification concerning customs tariffs on steel sheets and blanks classified under Chapters 72 or 73. The amendment extends the deadline mentioned in the original notification No. 24/86-Customs, dated January 23, 1986, from '31st December, 1986' to '30th day of June, 1987.' This change is deemed necessary in the public interest.
