of <h1>Customs Duty Exemptions for H-B-J Gas Pipeline Project Rescinded; Notification No. 514/86-Cus Now Invalid.</h1> Notification No. 514/86-Cus, dated December 30, 1986, issued under the Customs Act, 1962, granted customs duty exemptions for goods imported for the Hazira-Bijapur-Jagdishpur (H-B-J) Gas Pipeline Project by the Gas Authority of India Limited. The exemptions included a reduction in customs duty to 25% ad valorem and a waiver of additional duties, contingent on certification from authorized government officials confirming the necessity and non-domestic manufacture of the goods. This exemption was valid until March 31, 1988, and was later rescinded by Notification No. 21/97-Cus on March 1, 1997.
