of <h1>Govt Exempts Soda Ash from Portion of Customs Duty Exceeding 25% Until March 31, 1988, per Notification No. 50/87-Cus.</h1> The Central Government, under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, has issued Notification No. 50/87-Cus dated March 1, 1987, exempting soda ash under Heading No. 28.36 of the First Schedule of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, from a portion of customs duty. The exemption applies to the extent that the duty exceeds 25% ad valorem when imported into India. This exemption is valid until March 31, 1988.
