of <h1>Customs Act Amendment: Revised Tariffs on Propylene Polymers Effective March 1, 1987; Copolymers at 50% + Rs. 5,000/Tonne</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 227/76 under the Customs Act, 1962, to revise the tariff on certain polymers of propylene. Effective from March 1, 1987, the amendment specifies new customs duties for copolymers of propylene at 50% ad valorem plus Rs. 5,000 per tonne, and for other types of propylene polymers at 35% ad valorem plus Rs. 2,500 per tonne. This change is deemed necessary in the public interest.
