of <h1>Government Updates Customs Duty Rates and Terms for Public Welfare Under Customs Act, 1962</h1> The Central Government has amended three customs notifications under the Customs Act, 1962, in the interest of public welfare. Notification No. 154/86-Customs now includes changes to duty rates, increasing them from 35% to 55% and from 75% to 85% ad valorem. Notification No. 155/86-Customs adds additional duty provisions and updates references to other notifications. Notification No. 397/86-Customs replaces the term 'electronic parts' with 'parts.' These amendments are aimed at updating tariff rates and clarifying duty applicability under the Customs Tariff Act.
