of <h1>Customs Act Update: Government Extends Compliance Period in Notifications to Eight Weeks for Better Processing</h1> The Central Government, under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, has amended several customs notifications in the public interest. Specifically, Notifications Nos. 29/83, 6/84, 254/84, 502/86, and 503/86 have been revised to extend the time period mentioned in paragraph 3 from 'four weeks' to 'eight weeks.' These amendments are intended to provide additional time for compliance or processing as specified in the original notifications.
