Effective April 1, 1987, it prescribes the rates of exchange for converting specified foreign currencies into Indian currency for calculating stamp duty and customs purposes. The schedule lists exchange rates for various currencies, including Austrian Schillings, Australian Dollars, Belgian Francs, Canadian Dollars, and U.S. Dollars, among others. For instance, 100 Indian Rupees is equivalent to 99.10 Austrian Schillings or 7.745 U.S. Dollars.
