of <h1>Government Extends Effective Date of Customs Notification No. 319/85 to March 31, 1988, Citing Public Interest</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 319/85-Customs, originally dated October 16, 1985, by extending the effective date in paragraph 2 from '31st March, 1987' to '31st March, 1988.' This amendment is issued under the authority granted by sub-section (1) of section 25 of the Customs Act, 1962, and is deemed necessary in the public interest. The change is formalized through Notification No. 153/87-Cus, dated March 31, 1987, by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue.
