of <h1>Central Government Amends Customs Notification: Ad Valorem Rate Increased to 45%, Date Extended to June 30, 1988.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 216/85-Customs, originally issued on July 3, 1985, under the Customs Act, 1962. The amendments include changing the ad valorem rate from 40% to 45% and extending the applicable date from June 30, 1987, to June 30, 1988. These changes are implemented in the public interest, as authorized by the Ministry of Finance's Department of Revenue, under Notification No. 251/87-Customs dated June 30, 1987.
