of <h1>Central Government Amends Customs Notification, Adds New Entry to Schedule Under Customs Act 1962 and Finance Act 1987</h1> The Central Government, exercising its powers under the Customs Act, 1962 and the Finance Act, 1987, has amended a previous notification (No. 207/87-Customs dated 12th May 1987) by inserting a new entry in the schedule. This amendment, issued through Notification No. 257/87-Cus dated 2nd July 1987, adds a new serial number, 290, to the schedule, referencing 'No. 256 Customs, dated the 2nd July, 1987.' This change is deemed necessary in the public interest.
