of <h1>Government Reduces Customs Duty on Styrene Imports to 25% Plus Rs. 1700/Tonne Until December 31, 1987, for Public Benefit.</h1> The Central Government, under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, has issued Notification No. 275/87-Cus dated July 8, 1987, granting an exemption for styrene imported into India under sub-heading No. 2902.50 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975. The exemption reduces the customs duty to 25% ad valorem plus Rs. 1700 per tonne, effective until December 31, 1987. This measure is deemed necessary in the public interest.
