<h1>Central Government Raises Customs Duties on Chemicals in Chapter 28; New Entries and Adjustments Announced.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 136/86-Cus. to increase basic customs duties on specific chemicals under Chapter 28. The changes include the insertion of new entries for Sodium formaldehyde-Sulphoxylate and Sodium ferrocyanide, with duties set at 110% and 100% ad valorem, respectively. Additional amendments involve adjustments to duties on other chemicals such as TIOC, Erythromycin thiocyanate, 6-Amino Penicillinic Acid, Sorbitol, and Formic Acid. New entries for ether derivatives of various glycols and their acetates have been added, with a duty of 100% ad valorem. Chapter 35 goods now have a duty of 60% ad valorem.
