of <h1>Government Extends Deadline for Imports from U.A.R. and Yugoslavia to September 30, 1988, under Customs Act Section 25(1).</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 341/76-Customs, initially issued on August 2, 1976, concerning imports from the U.A.R. or Yugoslavia. Exercising its powers under section 25(1) of the Customs Act, 1962, the government has extended the deadline mentioned in paragraph 2 of the original notification. The date '31st day of March, 1988' has been replaced with '30th September, 1988.' This amendment is issued under Notification No. 100/88-Cus., dated March 9, 1988, and is deemed necessary in the public interest.
