Extension of customs notification validity: the exemption notification's expiry date is postponed under statutory powers. The Central Government, under section 25(1) of the Customs Act, 1962 and in the public interest, amends paragraph 2 of Notification No. 234/86-Customs by substituting the earlier expiry date with a later expiry date, thereby extending the validity of that exemption notification by the terms specified in Notification No. 109/88-Cus.
