The exemption includes a reduction of customs duty to 35% ad valorem and a waiver of additional customs duty under section 3 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975. This is conditional upon the importer providing a certificate from a qualified officer, executing a bond to export gelatine capsules worth three times the machinery's value within five years, and adhering to monitoring instructions from the Chief Controller of Imports and Exports.
