of <h1>Central Government Amends Customs Notifications 159/88 and 161/88; Updates Duty Entries for Public Interest.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification Nos. 159/88-Cus. and 161/88-Cus. concerning auxiliary duty under the Customs Act, 1962 and the Finance Act, 1988. For Notification No. 159/88-Cus., dated May 13, 1988, a new entry, '270. No. 243-Customs, dated 24th September, 1984,' has been added to the table. For Notification No. 161/88-Cus., dated May 13, 1988, Serial No. 13 and its related entry have been removed. These amendments are made in the public interest under the authority granted by the relevant legislative provisions.
