of <h1>Central Government Amends Customs Notifications Under Section 25(1) to Extend Deadlines; Errors Noted in Notification 222/87.</h1> The Central Government, exercising its powers under Section 25(1) of the Customs Act, 1962, has amended three previous customs notifications to extend certain deadlines. Notification No. 74/85-Customs, dated March 17, 1985, Notification No. 222/87-Customs, dated May 20, 1987, and Notification No. 33/88-Customs, dated March 1, 1988, have all been revised to change the deadline from July 1, 1988, to October 1, 1988. However, there is an error in Notification No. 222/87-Customs, where the new date is incorrectly stated as October 1, 1968.
