of <h1>India Exempts Coffee Exports from Tariffs Over Rs 100/Quintal per Notification No. 238/88-Cus Under Customs Act 1962</h1> The Central Government of India, under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, has issued Notification No. 238/88-Cus. dated August 18, 1988, to exempt coffee from export tariffs exceeding Rs 100 per quintal. This notification supersedes the previous Notification No. 220/87-Cus. from May 19, 1987. The exemption applies to coffee classified under heading No. 1 of the Second Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, and is deemed necessary in the public interest.
