No. 72A, Effective October 20, 2003.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 21/2002-Customs to exempt aviation gasoline (Avgas) from Basic Customs duty. This amendment, effective from October 20, 2003, introduces a new entry, S. No. 72A, under the Customs Tariff, specifying that Avgas will incur no customs duty. This decision is made under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, and is deemed necessary in the public interest. The amendment follows previous changes to the principal notification, which was initially issued on March 1, 2002, and last amended on September 5, 2003.
