of <h1>Govt Amends Notification to Allow Transfer of Imported Goods Under Advance Licenses per Customs Act, 1962</h1> The Central Government issued Notification No. 325/88-Cus, dated December 28, 1988, amending a previous notification (No. 116/88-Customs) under the Customs Act, 1962. The amendments allow goods imported against advance licenses to be used for executing export orders or transferred to another advance license holder. The changes include substituting specific wording in the notification to accommodate the transfer of goods to other license holders and ensuring such transfers comply with the provisions of Intermediate Advance Licenses as outlined in the Import & Export Policy for April 1988-March 1991.
