of <h1>Government exempts certain Chapter 9 goods from portions of customs duties per Notification No. 30/89-Cus, effective March 1, 1989.</h1> The Central Government, under the Customs Act, 1962, has issued Notification No. 30/89-Cus dated March 1, 1989, to exempt certain goods under Chapter 9 from portions of customs duties when imported into India. The exemption applies to goods listed in the annexed table, specifying rates for both standard and preferential duties. For instance, goods under sub-headings 0906.10 and 0906.20 are subject to Rs. 20 per kg plus 90% ad valorem for standard rates and Rs. 20 per kg plus 82.5% ad valorem for preferential rates. Other sub-headings have different specified rates.
