Rescinds Three Customs Notifications Under Section 25(1) of Customs Act, 1962 for Public Interest</h1> The Central Government, under the authority of section 25(1) of the Customs Act, 1962, has rescinded three previous customs notifications in the public interest. These are Notification No. 168/76-Customs dated August 2, 1976, Notification No. 158/77-Customs dated July 15, 1977, and Notification No. 51/87-Customs dated March 1, 1987. This decision is formalized in Notification No. 44/89-Customs, dated March 1, 1989, issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue.
