of <h1>Customs Notification Amended: Duty on Moulds and Tools Adjusted; New Rate 35%</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 343/86-Customs under the Customs Act, 1962, in the interest of public welfare. The amendments include replacing the term 'moulds and the tools' with 'moulds (including chases for the manufacture of semiconductor devices) and the tools (excluding tungsten carbide micro PCB drills).' Additionally, the ad valorem duty rate specified in clause (a) has been altered from '30 per cent' to '35%.' These changes are enacted through Notification No. 81/89-Customs, dated March 1, 1989.
