of <h1>Government Rescinds 1988 Auxiliary Duty Notifications Under Customs Act & Finance Act for Public Interest</h1> The Central Government, exercising its authority under the Customs Act, 1962, and the Finance Act, 1988, has decided to rescind several earlier notifications related to auxiliary duty. These include notifications numbered 157 to 167, all dated May 13, 1988, and notification 312 dated December 9, 1988, issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue. This decision is deemed necessary in the public interest and is formalized under Notification No. 117/89-Cus, dated March 1, 1989.
