of <h1>Government Rescinds Customs Notifications from 1978 and 1980 Under Section 25(1) of Customs Act, Effective March 24, 1989.</h1> The Central Government, under the authority of section 25(1) of the Customs Act, 1962, has rescinded two previous customs notifications: No. 70/Customs dated March 25, 1978, and No. 132/Customs dated July 2, 1980. This decision, deemed necessary in the public interest, was formalized through Notification No. 126/89-Cus, issued on March 23, 1989. The rescission takes effect on March 24, 1989.
