of <h1>Customs Act Update: Amendments to Notification Nos. 345/86-Cus. and 347/86-Cus. Redefine Copper Clad Laminates Classification</h1> The Central Government has issued an amendment to Notification Nos. 345/86-Cus. and 347/86-Cus. under the Customs Act, 1962, effective from July 6, 1989. The amendments pertain to the classification of certain laminates in the customs tariff. Specifically, the terms 'Glass Epoxy Laminates' and 'Paper Phenolic Laminates or Glass Epoxy Laminates' have been updated to 'Copper clad laminates of glass epoxy type' and 'Copper clad laminates of paper phenolic or glass epoxy type,' respectively. Additionally, the term 'Copper clad laminates' is revised to include 'phenolic or paper phenolic or glass epoxy types.'
