of <h1>Govt Issues Notification 88/90-Cus: Customs Duty Rates Set for Goods Under Chapter 75; Exemptions Specified</h1> The Central Government, under the Customs Act, 1962, issued Notification No. 88/90-Cus. on March 20, 1990, prescribing effective rates of basic duty on goods under Chapter 75 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975. The notification exempts specified goods from customs duty exceeding the rates listed in the annexed table. The rates are 35% ad valorem for goods under headings 7501.10, 7502.20, 7503.00, and 7504.00, and 55% ad valorem for goods under headings 7505.11, 7505.12, 7505.21, 75.06, 75.07, and 7508.00. Existing exemptions under other notifications remain unaffected.
