of <h1>Central Government Amends 1977 Customs Notification to Include Full Duty Exemption on Synthetic Industrial Diamonds</h1> Notification No. 168/90-Cus., dated April 30, 1990, amends Notification No. 131/77-Cus. under the Customs Act, 1962. The amendment, made by the Central Government in the public interest, modifies the original notification from July 1, 1977, concerning synthetic industrial diamonds. It adds an exemption from the entire additional duty levied under Section 3 of the Customs Tariff Act, in addition to the existing 50% ad valorem exemption.
