of <h1>Government Extends Deadline for Copper Wire Rods Import Duty Exemption to July 31, 1991, Under Customs Act Section 25(1).</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 287/87-Customs concerning copper wire rods under Chapter 74. Exercising its authority under section 25(1) of the Customs Act, 1962, the government has extended the date mentioned in paragraph 2 of the original notification from '31st day of July, 1990' to '31st day of July, 1991.' This amendment is deemed necessary in the public interest and is formalized through Notification No. 227/90-Customs, dated 31st July 1990.
