of <h1>Customs Duty on Iron Ore Pellets Reduced from 35% to 20% Under Section 25(1) of Customs Act 1962</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 6/90-Customs, originally issued on January 23, 1990, concerning iron ore pellets. Under the authority of section 25(1) of the Customs Act, 1962, this amendment reduces the customs duty from '35% ad valorem' to '20% ad valorem.' This change is deemed necessary in the public interest and is formalized by Notification No. 243/90-Cus, dated September 17, 1990, issued by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue.
