Amendment to Import/Export Rules: Designated Ports for Nylon, Polyester, and Precious Metals; Restrictions at Ludhiana Depot
The Central Government has amended Notification No. 159/90-Customs, dated March 30, 1990, concerning goods imported against Advance Licences. The amendment specifies that imports of certain goods, including nylon and polyester materials, stainless steel, magnetic tapes, and precious metals, must occur through designated sea ports, airports, or internal container depots. The export of products made from these goods must also occur through these specified locations. However, the import and export of polyester waste, acrylic waste, and synthetic waste are not permitted through the Internal Container Depot at Ludhiana.
