of <h1>Customs Duty Exemption for Power Transmission Components in Earth-Moving Machinery Valid Until Nov 1991</h1> Notification No. 273/90-Cus, dated November 7, 1990, issued by the Central Government under the Customs Act, 1962, exempts certain components used in manufacturing power transmission systems for earth-moving machinery, forklifts, and locomotives from customs duty exceeding 35% ad valorem. The exemption applies only if the components are certified by an appropriate officer as necessary for the specified purpose. Importers must provide certification from a qualified officer confirming participation in a Ministry of Industry-approved program and verify the components' use as specified. This exemption is valid until November 30, 1991.
