of <h1>India Lowers Customs Duty on Non-Rayon Pulp Imports to 10% Under Customs Act Notification No. 281/90-Cus</h1> The Central Government of India issued Notification No. 281/90-Cus on December 15, 1990, under the Customs Act, 1962, granting an exemption for pulp derived from any fibrous vegetable material, except rayon grade wood pulp, as per Chapter 47 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975. This exemption applies to imports into India, reducing the customs duty to 10% ad valorem and waiving the additional duty under section 3 of the Customs Tariff Act. This notification supersedes the previous Notification No. 63/85-Customs dated March 17, 1985, and is deemed necessary in the public interest.
