of <h1>Government Updates Customs and Finance Act Notifications: Duty Rates Increased, New Entries Added, Omissions Made</h1> The Central Government has amended six auxiliary duty notifications under the Customs Act, 1962, and the Finance Act, 1990. Changes include the omission of certain serial numbers and entries in notifications 178/90 and 180/90, the addition of new entries in notifications 179/90 and 180/90, and adjustments to duty percentages in notifications 181/90, 186/90, and 189/90. Specifically, the duty rates in notifications 181/90, 186/90, and 189/90 have been increased from 5% to 25%, and from 45% to 50%, respectively. These amendments are deemed necessary in the public interest.
