of <h1>Customs Notification Amended: New 25% Duty Imposed on Raw and Calcined Petroleum Coke Under Section 25(1) of Customs Act.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 35/90-Customs, dated March 20, 1990, under the powers conferred by section 25(1) of the Customs Act, 1962. The amendment, effective from Notification No. 53/91-Customs dated July 25, 1991, revises the entries in the notification's table. Specifically, it replaces the previous entry for S. No. 18 with new entries for raw petroleum coke and calcined petroleum coke, both subject to a 25% ad valorem customs duty. This change is deemed necessary in the public interest.
