<h1>Government Amends Customs Act Notifications 29/89-Cus. and 31/89-Cus., Adjusts Ad Valorem Rates Effective July 25, 1991.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification Nos. 29/89-Cus. and 31/89-Cus. under the Customs Act, 1962, citing public interest. For Notification No. 29/89-Cus., dated March 1, 1989, the amendment involves replacing the entries '100% ad valorem' and '90% ad valorem' in the specified columns of the table. For Notification No. 31/89-Cus., dated March 1, 1989, the amendment changes the entry '125% ad valorem' to '100% ad valorem' in the specified column wherever it appears. These changes are effective from July 25, 1991.
