of <h1>Central Government Amends Customs Notifications: Duty Changes in Notifications 386/86-Cus, 140/88-Cus, and 97/89-Cus.</h1> The Central Government has amended three customs notifications under the powers conferred by the Customs Act, 1962. Notification No. 386/86-Cus. now reduces the duty from 25% to 10% ad valorem. Notification No. 140/88-Cus. increases the duty from 45% to 55% ad valorem. Notification No. 97/89-Cus. decreases the duty from 35% to 20% ad valorem. These amendments are made in the public interest and reflect changes in the specified customs duties.
