of <h1>Central Government Amends Customs Duty Rates Under Notification Nos. 38/78-Cus. and 38/83-Cus. Effective July 25, 1991.</h1> The Central Government, exercising its authority under the Customs Act, 1962, has amended Notification Nos. 38/78-Cus. and 38/83-Cus. as per Notification No. 77/91-Cus. dated July 25, 1991. For Notification No. 38/78-Cus., the amendment changes the duty to '110% ad valorem.' For Notification No. 38/83-Cus., the amendments specify a duty of '100% ad valorem plus Rs. 7 per kilogram' for one entry and '100% ad valorem' for another entry. These changes are deemed necessary in the public interest.
