        <h1>Customs exemption for specified electronic-industry imports limits basic customs duty and waives the additional duty on listed equipment.</h1> Exempts specified imported goods within Chapters 84, 85 or 90 used in the electronic industry by capping customs duty at an amount not exceeding 20 per cent ad valorem for the listed items and by fully waiving the additional duty leviable under the Customs Tariff Act; eligibility is determined by inclusion in the notification's enumerated Table of machines, instruments and equipment for electronic and related manufacture and testing.
