of <h1>Central Government Updates Customs Notifications 344/86-Cus. and 345/86-Cus. to Expand Exemptions for Telecom and Electronics.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification Nos. 344/86-Cus. and 345/86-Cus. under the Customs Act, 1962, to include additional items and authorities in the exemptions. Notification No. 344/86-Cus. now includes 'a Director in the Department of Telecommunications' alongside 'a Joint Director in the Directorate of Industries' as authorized personnel. Notification No. 345/86-Cus. has been updated to substitute and add various electronic components, materials, and specifications across several serial numbers, such as electrolytic capacitors, copper clad laminates, resistors, potentiometers, connectors, and other electronic items.
