of <h1>Central Government Amends Notification No. 339/85-Cus to Allow Goods Transfer Between Zones Under Customs Act, 1962.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 339/85-Cus under the Customs Act, 1962, to include new provisions for the transfer of goods within specified zones. A new condition (VIIIA) allows the Assistant Collector to permit goods manufactured in one zone to be supplied or transferred to another zone or a 100% Export Oriented Unit, subject to approval from the Development Commissioner and compliance with the 'Hand Book of Procedures' (April 1990 - March 1993). Additionally, condition (IX) now includes item (i), which pertains to the transfer of goods between units in different zones or to a 100% EOU.
