of <h1>Government Amends Notification 99/90-Cus: Customs Duty Reduced from 65% to 55% Under Section 25(1) of Customs Act.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 99/90-Cus. under Chapter 84, originally issued on March 20, 1990. This amendment, effective from July 26, 1991, is made under the authority of section 25(1) of the Customs Act, 1962, in the interest of the public. The amendment changes the duty rate specified in the notification's table from '65% ad valorem' to '55% ad valorem' wherever it appears.
