<h1>Customs Notification: Exemption for Computer Peripherals under Heading 84.71, Superseding Previous Notification No. 58/88-Customs</h1> Notification No. 157/91-Cus, dated December 16, 1991, issued by the Central Government under the Customs Act, 1962, exempts certain computer peripherals falling under Heading 84.71 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, from customs duty. This supersedes the previous notification No. 58/88-Customs. The exempted peripherals include dot matrix printers, floppy disc drives, line printers, computer keyboards, video display monitors, and monochrome graphic terminals, which are subject to a 100% ad valorem duty. Other goods under the same heading are subject to a 35% ad valorem duty.
