of <h1>Customs Act Amendment: New Entities Added for Light Combat Aircraft Programme Equipment Import</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 228/88-Cus. under the Customs Act, 1962, concerning machinery and equipment for the Light Combat Aircraft Programme. This amendment, effective from January 2, 1992, involves the addition of new entries to the existing notification. The newly included entities are Project Office (Materials) in Hyderabad, Kerala Hitech Industries in Trivandrum, and the Minerals and Metals Trading Corporation of India Ltd. This change is deemed necessary in the public interest by the Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue.
