of <h1>Government Exempts Certain Imports from Customs Duties Exceeding 65% Under Notification No. 26/92-Cus, Effective March 1, 1992.</h1> The Central Government, under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, has issued Notification No. 26/92-Cus dated March 1, 1992, to exempt certain imported goods from customs duties exceeding 65% ad valorem. This exemption applies to goods listed in the First Schedule of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, except those under headings 22.03 to 22.08 and 98.03. This measure is deemed necessary in the public interest to regulate the customs duty on specified imports.
