<h1>Govt exempts White arctic fox, Persian lamb, and rabbit furskins from additional customs duties under Customs Act Section 25(1).</h1> The Central Government, under the powers granted by section 25(1) of the Customs Act, 1962, has issued Notification No. 67/92-Cus dated March 1, 1992, exempting certain furskins from additional customs duties. Specifically, furskins of White arctic fox, Persian lamb, and black and white rabbits, classified under Chapter 43 of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, are exempt from the additional duty imposed under section 3 of the Customs Tariff Act when imported into India. This exemption is deemed necessary in the public interest.
