This amendment modifies the table concerning customs duties on specific paper types. The new table specifies that newsprint, excluding varieties like chrome, marble, flint, poster, stereo, and art paper, will be subject to a duty rate of 45% ad valorem plus an additional Rs. 1000 per tonne. This change is deemed necessary in the public interest.
