of <h1>Customs Duty Exemption for Parts of Textile Machines: Conditions Apply, CNC Systems Excluded</h1> Notification No. 86/92-Cus, dated March 1, 1992, issued by the Central Government under the Customs Act, 1962, exempts certain parts required for the initial setup, assembly, or manufacture of specified textile machines from certain customs duties. The exemption applies to parts imported into India, subject to conditions including certification by relevant authorities and an undertaking by the importer to use the parts as specified. The exemption does not apply to CNC systems and their components. The notification supersedes a previous notification from April 29, 1987, and outlines specific tariff headings for eligible articles.
